Mission

To establish: an embassy for the soul of the English-speaking world – its literature – in Mexico; an educational resource for Chilangos learning English and eager to explore the artistic reach of the language; a web-free, Kindle-less island of analog time in the digital sea; a community center for Commonwealth and American expatriates in the most exciting, vibrant and accessible city on Earth; an institution that will pay tribute to that city’s magnificence with the best our native culture has to offer

More sale prices; weekend hours continue

The 4th was kind of wild – still, a reminder why I don’t drink at work. We’ll just leave that there.

Slashing even our sale price: this weekend we encourage you to take home all you can from our to-be-temporarily-terminated Non-Fiction and History sections. The books are going for 50 pesos each.

And a reminder of our (also, temporary) new hours: Saturday/Sunday, 12 to 6. It will be that way most likely for several months, until we can plan a move after the on-off closures, red and yellow lights, surges and new strains. 2022? Make plans, God laughs.

See you here.
