For fifteen years, Under the Volcano Books has been bringing together readers, travellers and Mexico City locals in our beautiful home, the historic American Legion building at the heart of La Condesa.

By October 3rd this year, to mark our quince años, we are aiming to raise $3,781 USD/$65,052 MXN to fund a handmade neon sign on our terrace — a symbol and a celebration of the Mexican-American community that has grown around us.

We have three donation tiers:

Flip the Switch!  $25 USD/$440 MXN

Light the Spark! $100 USD/$1,750 MXN

Start the Show!  $250 USD/$4,400 MXN

Created by Guadalajara-based artists Agustín González García and Ramsés Alán Castillo Jiménez, the sign will illuminate our terrace, where we bring people together for readings, film screenings, book clubs and celebrations.
