Pricing & Collection
Since UTVBKS’s inception in 2011, the store has focussed primarily on literary fiction, poetry, anthologies, and theater, however visitors can find books across genres.
To make our books more accessible, and to increase intercultural exchange, as of September 2025, we have adjusted our prices by approximately by 25%.
Currently, the store is expanding its collections in the following areas: Art, Art Criticism and History, Architecture, Autobiography, Biography, Children’s, History, Philosophy, Psychology, and Young Adult. 10% Discounts
To benefit the following groups, who will in-turn receive 10% discounts for all purchases from:
- Chilangos - Mexico City Locals with current identification
- Currently-enrolled Students & Teachers with current identification
- Museum and/or Heritage Professionals with current International Council of Museums, American Alliance of Museums, or American Association of State and Local History memberships
- Journalists and Freelance Journalists with Press Credential
- Donors of over $100 to On the Media with receipt dated in the past year
- University of Texas LBJ School of Public Affairs students, alumni, professors, instructors, and staff with current identification or LinkedIn profile verification

To pay it forward, UTVBKS, which has benefited from the generosity of other bookstore owners, offers a complimentary 20% discount for all purchases from:
